We Missed our White Christmas!

By one day, it came a day late. I know most of you, the last thing you want to see is snow, but this is different, this is NC snow!

We will be open tomorrow, Thursday from 10-5, Friday, Christmas Eve from 10-2 and of course closed Saturday, will be open on Sunday 1-5, will resume our regular hours(closed on Tues and Wednesday).

Kinda quiet here at the shop today, we had some icy rain this morning but other counties got hit worse, and many schools are closed. So I got my new little camera and snapped a few pics. Those of you that came looking for Mistletoe Kisses and we were out, well, now we have some! We have some of the melties too.

Just Two Weeks Left!

Friday Frenzy has passed, we had a really nice day, and a fun day too, got to visit with our good friends Yvette and Sharon from Raleigh, and lots of others. We had alot of silliness going on and one man asked us where our wine cellar was? The winners of the 25.00 gift certificates were Sue George, Fayetteville, and Evette Clements, Raleigh.
Now we only have two weeks left, I know alot of you are ready, but this ol gal sure isn't! Need to kick into gear!

Shop Pics

This is a farm table Herb just finished, it has huge chunky legs.

I love this cupboard, we just picked it up last week, its a nice old pine one, makes a great display piece with the glass in the top half.

I love the simplicity of this piece, its not huge, but is it ever heavy!

We just got this table top desk in, it has really nice dovetailing in the corners.

Light Stems and Light Stem garlands!

This first picture is one of the trees we bought 3 years ago, it was a real tree, and I wanted to keep it, and use it for display after the needles fell off, but would you believe after 3 years those needles are still hanging on there??? Its all brown and so primitive looking, I do get some weird looks now and then, and I did hear a man whisper something to his wife about me having the brown dead trees, ya gotta love it.....right?

This is the laundry tree, we stained some clothes pins, wrapped some homespun around them and they make a cute ornament tree for your laundry room.

And here are the light stems, some in the crock, and the garlands are mixed in with greenery on the mantel, when I took them out of the package, I wasn't sure I liked them but when I put them on the mantel, I loved them!

Even though its unseasonably warm, even for NC, this snowman is ready for some fun on a sled!

We will be open today and tomorrow our regular hours, closed on Thanksgiving, then open on Friday at 10(sorry, no early, early hours for me, I will be sleeiping).

BrunieMae's Calendar!

My good friend, BrunieMae, up in Michigan just did up some wonderful calendars. We have some here in the shop for sale, the pictures are wonderful, and the calendars are only 12.00 each! What a great buy! Stop in and get one before they are all gone.

Quilt Cranes

Herb kept saying he was going to make a quilt crane from tobacco sticks, and I had this vision of something entirely different, but when he brought it to me and showed me, I LOVED it! One of them he waxed, the other one he didn't. I think they are wonderful. I am sorry, they are not shippable though. Those wreaths are not shiney at all but every picture I take they look shiney, drives me crazy!
