We will be open tomorrow from 10-5, most Christmas is 1/2 price! So if your out and about tomorrow, stop in and see us.

At 5, I will be rushing home to finish the saurkraut and pork and watch the Buckeyes win at the Rose Bowl!!!

Another Wet Day!

We sure had a wet day for our Friday Frenzy, but we still had some wonderful customers come, we appreciate all of you! I think the rain is moving out. Enough already, but to the west and north of us, they have alot of snow! My friend Barb in the mountains was getting alot of snow last night, as we chatted back and forth emailing each other. Dee is at her sisters in the DC area, I am sure they are snowed in, shes supposed to come home Sunday, she may not make it! I think they are supposed to get more today.
Back to the Friday Frenzy, I tend to get off track! Winners of the gift certificate drawing are Mark Gentry and Judy Babb! Congrats!

Newbies!

We sold a cupboard yesterday, seems we have been doing alot of that lately, (believe me, I am not complaining), anyway, we had just picked up this one, so brought it in the shop. The man we got it from said his Mother used to be a dealer in Va. and this was one of her pieces, its really nice and has this little shelf that pulls out under the top half. I took a picture of it with the door open and one with it shut, so you could see it both ways. There is also some nice storage in the bottom.

We also picked up an iron bed with brass finials, Herb said a full size mattress will fit on it. I guess we will need to put it up tomorrow, with the forcast we are getting, they have mentioned that four letter word a few times(snow), now won't that make our Friday Frenzy, a real Frenzy??? You can stop on your way home and try to find some milk and bread!!!!

Friday Frenzy!

This Friday, December 18, will be our Friday Frenzy. We will be open from 10-7 and will have lots of "deals". Of course we will have cookies and mulled cider, hope you can come! This will be our last Friday before Christmas.....can you believe it?

Here is a wreath that Dee made, it got all kinds of sewing gadgets on it, it looks so much better in person, I am a terrible photograper.

These little book mark candle holders are so neat, you can use a battery taper or a wax candle, add a book and an old pair of specticles and you have a great display!

Here is a santa dressed in brown, behind him is the log cabin pattern throw and pillow, by Family Heirloom, this pattern has such a great feel to it!

This is an American made santa done in red, we also have some done in burgundy.

Do you Believe in Orbs?

Was emailing with my friend, BrunieMae, in Michigan tonight and she sent me a pic of her new old fliptop table, (its really nice!), and told her I had a small one, so sent her a pic of mine, well she emailed me back and asked if I had seen the orb in the pic,? I went back to see and sure enough, there it was, and it almost looks like it has a face! We had been told this house was haunted, but we have never really experienced anything, and we have lived here for 16 years. Well, looking at that orb in the pic gave me goose bumps. What do you think?

Well, if we do have ghosts, they are good ones and they must like us, because they have never bothered us, and I am sure they are primitive lovers too!!!! I am sure they are happy we fixed up that old farm market and made it a "Country Store"!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a quick post to tell everyone Happy Thanksgiving! The boys and Meredith are coming home and we will have tons to eat. We have so much to be thankful for.

We will be closed tomorrow and will open at 10 on Friday.

Here is an Amish Buggy seat, we have on a farm table, in a nice red paint.

Look at his sweet little Granny, isn't she just great?

The details on this one are unbelieveable, with his button up vest, his wool coat and pants, not to mention the details to his face and beard, hes just awesome!

Dees Wreaths, Santa, and A Mailbox

Every year Dee does wonderful wreaths for the shop, she does Kitchen Gadget wreaths, One Horse Sleigh wreaths, and just all kinds, and all through the year, I pick up things, like old mailboxes, or oil cans, and she decorates them, just another of her many talents! Anyway, wanted to share some with you, for some reason, some of them look shiny and they are not shiny at all.

We had a busy day in the shop today. We still have lots of snowmen, santas and trees, there is lots to choose from either for youself or for a gift for a friend.

Wow, what a DAY!

We have had some rain, rain and more rain today, and with it, lots of wind! Kinda makes me a little bit nervous with the rain, wind and those big ol shallow rooted pines next to the house.

I took some pics at the shop today and was going to do a slideshow, worked and worked on it, then was trying to figure out how to get it on my blog and hit save, and guess what.....you guessed it, it didn't save it, I was so mad!!!! I am not very tekky at all, I am surprised I was able to do this blog. Bear with me.

Whew....almost ready!

Here are a few shots, there are santas and snowmen everywhere! Don't you love Dee's checkerboards? We have lots of trees, wreaths.....we are overflowing with wonderful handmades this year.

We are having a sale in the tent, lots of items marked way down. And of course the Red Shed will be open and its really lookin good. We will have 4 registers running, two in the tent and Denise and I in the shop.

After Open House we will be open everyday, until Christmas Eve, with the exception of Thanksgiving, of course.
